What this page is for
Domestic external rendering, such as:
- patching failed render on a house wall
- a new render coat where the background is suitable
- questions about pebbledash, sand-and-cement, or a painted finish you already have
It is not a full facade contract, a new-build site package, or a guaranteed match to a neighbour's house. Internal plaster is skimming, not rendering.
Modern through-coloured or insulated render systems are specialist. If that is what you want, say so. An independent plasterer may say it is outside what they do.
Weather, height and access
Outside work depends on weather, the wall behind the render, and how the plasterer reaches it. Two-storey work often needs scaffolding. Who arranges that must be agreed with the plasterer, not assumed by this website.
Do not treat a form submission as a start date. Rain can stop a job that looked simple from the pavement.
What to include in an enquiry
- Town or full postcode
- Which elevations (front, back, side, whole house)
- Storeys and whether you already have scaffolding
- Cracks, blown areas, or a full reskim of the render
- Nearby boundaries, planting, or a narrow lane
- Parking for a mixer or van
- Preferred timing, knowing weather may move it
Photographs of the wall and the street access help.
What usually affects a quote
What will the plastering cost?
- Area and height
- Repair versus larger covering
- Background (brick, block, existing render)
- Scaffolding or access towers
- Colour and finish, if specified
- Making good around windows and corners
- Waste and protection of paths
This site does not publish a metre rate.
