The four steps
1. Tell us about the job
Share the postcode, property type, which rooms, and what you think needs doing. If you are unsure whether it is a skim, a board or a patch, say what you can see: cracks, blown plaster, new studwork, a stained ceiling.
Useful extras: parking, stairs, ceiling height, whether furniture can be moved, and whether the building is listed. You do not need a measured square-metre figure before you enquire.
2. We review the enquiry
The enquiry is read against three things:
- Is the postcode in the intended first area, or close enough to ask?
- Is the job type one an available plasterer actually takes?
- Did you give permission for your details to be shared?
If it is not a fit, you should be told that an introduction cannot be made. The site will not quietly circulate your number.

3. One plasterer contacts you
If the enquiry fits and you ticked permission to share, the relevant details are passed to one independent plasterer.
They may phone, ask for photographs, or suggest a visit. They give their own quotation. They decide whether they can take the job.
This site does not send the same job to two plasterers at once. You should not receive competing calls from more than one introduction for the same enquiry.
4. You decide whether to proceed
Any contract, start date, materials and payment sit between you and that plasterer. If you do not want the quote, say so to them. This site does not book the work and does not hold a deposit.

What this site does not do

- Promise a named person on the public pages
- Survey for asbestos, or specify listed-building lime work
- Take payment for the plastering
Why permission is separate
The form asks two different things.
- Permission for this site to use your details to reply to you.
- Optional permission to share the relevant details with a suitable independent plasterer so they can contact you.
If you skip the second box, you can still get a reply. Your enquiry will not be passed on only to obtain a quote. See the privacy notice and the referral disclosure.
Visits, photographs and quotes
Photographs of the rooms, the problem area, and the access from the street help. The form does not take uploads. Mention that photographs are available, and send them if the plasterer asks.
A responsible plasterer will often want to see the surface before a firm price: blown plaster, the board behind it, ceiling height and how much protection is needed all change the time on site. What will the plastering cost?
Timing
Preferred timing on the form is a guide, not a booking. Plaster also has drying time before you decorate. The plasterer should explain that when they quote.
If a job cannot be taken promptly, you should hear that, rather than being introduced to someone who cannot come.
After the introduction
Questions about the quote, the date, the finish, or making good belong with the plasterer. Questions about how this site handled the enquiry can come back here.
If you asked for an introduction and nobody suitable can take it, that is an honest outcome. It is better than a fake “we cover everywhere” promise.
